Vacancy for a Parish Councillor

Following the resignation of David Hall formal notice has been given that there is now a vacancy for the office of Councillor for the Higher Ward of Whittingham Parish Council.

If you are new to the area or are a longstanding resident why not consider joining the Parish Council to share your views and ideas concerning the village.  If you would like more information then pleases contact the Parish Clerk.

If a request for an election to fill this vacancy is made by TEN electors of Whittingham Higher Ward to the Returning Officer at the Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL then there will be an election to fill this vacancy.

If no such request is received by the Returning Officer within 14 days then the Parish Council can fill the vacancy by co-option.
