Swainson House Farm - Appeal dismissed

UPDATE - The Swainson House Farm appeal has been dismissed.

Residents may recall a developer took advantage of the temporary dip in the 5-year housing supply, by submitting an application for 95 homes at Swainson House Farm to the rear of Goosnargh Lane - Reference 06/2025/0182
The application was REFUSED at Planning Committee on the 3rd July 2025.
The Parish Council has been informed that the developer has lodged an appeal against the decision - Appeal reference APP/6001158
The City Council's letter notifying us of the appeal, states that all previous objections will be forwarded to the Planning Inspector.
Notwithstanding that, the Parish Council has responded to comments in the Appellants Statement - and a copy is attached.
The appeal will be determined on the basis of a hearing which will be held at 10:00 on 04-Feb-2026 at the Town Hall, Preston.
