Proposed New Primary School concerns

Whittingham Parish Council welcomes this decision as Members are extremely concerned regarding the balance between the increase in traffic and the safety of children being dropped off and collected from Goosnargh Oliverson's School.
As a result of the above decision, LCC has amended the plans for a new primary school off Henry Littler Way to a 2 form, 420 place primary school.
The supporting papers state that the catchment area hasn't been finalised and the Parish Council expresses concern that pupils attending from Longridge and Grimsargh will travel by car - which will have a major impact on the local road network.
Concerns are also expressed that the parking arrangements are insufficient for those dropping off / collecting children and for those attending the school for events held outside the schools opening hours.
